The rapid development in the field of information technology has made adopting the latest technological means to serve the teaching and learning processes and facilitate all administrative and academic tasks in higher education institutions a prerequisite for success and excellence in order to reach the quality of the outputs and services provided by the IT center because of  it's impact on improving the level of individual and institutional performance. From this standpoint, Al-Istiqlal University has established an IT center to be the nucleus for disseminating modern technology among the university's components, and for it to be its backbone for spreading and keeping up with modern technologies.
Al-Istiqlal IT Center aims to apply the latest information and communication technology methods at the university to raise the level of satisfaction of university employees, and to achieve a smooth transmission of information between the university components to support decision-making through developing the infrastructure for information and communication technology systems, developing appropriate programs and information systems that can be applied, managed and used effectively and efficiently to support learning, education and scientific research, improving the quality of information services provided to university employees and the external community, and increasing technological awareness to contribute to the development of society.

Al-Istiqlal IT center works to create an appropriate and advanced infrastructure to upgrade the university's services in the fields of information and communication technology and employ it to serve all sectors of the university to achieve excellence at the local and regional levels.

 

Mission

Al-Istiqlal IT Center seeks to lead work for the optimal use of information and communication technology at the university as an effective tool in order to improve and raise the level of education, awareness and productivity by offering creative solutions, systems, programs and initiatives, and to provide the necessary infrastructure of computers, networks, training and rehabilitation university staff to use these technologies and systems.
